All fourth through eighth grade students from the Imboden Area Charter School attended the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Randolph County Courthouse, Thursday, November 11, 2010. Commander of the Local VFW Larry Kirk presided . The ceremony included an Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, recognition of all Branches of Service of those present, National Anthem, a placing of wreaths by the Women’s Auxiliary at the Memorials. In addition, a poem was read about the Flag. The Honor Guard gave a 21 gun salute as the Flag was lowered and then raised and the playing of taps. Mr. Chuck Hayden a veteran who is currently employed by the Veterans Administration was the keynote speaker. The services concluded with the singing of Some Gave All. After the ceremony the students had an opportunity to visit with some of the Veterans.
