The Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) Program held a “Tale Gate” Party and Orientation the Imboden City Park on September 23, to kick the program off to a good start.
The children played games, had their faces painted, and pictures were taken of the children during the festivities so the parents could later scrapbook. After the parents were introduced to the HIPPY staff, they took the children to the game area where the children played sport’s related games. The parents participated in a program orientation and
received their new handbook. Pizza and “tail gate” foods were served and the children received a new book provided by a Reading is Fundamental (RIF) grant.
The lmboden/Ravenden HIPPY Program still has a few openings. If your child turned three before August 1,2010, or is four or five years old and not in kindergarten, call (870)933-6227 for more information or see the area home visitor,Lyna Meeks.
