Captain Jody Dotson of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Walnut Ridge man on October 8th for theft of property.
James Rouse was arrested by the LCSO and the Arkansas State Police after a resident of Lawrence County reported a red flatbed trailer had be taken from a residence in Sedgwick. The trailer was discovered at a pawn shop in Jonesboro, it had been painted black. The owner of the trailer identified the trailer and it was returned to the owner.
A check of the pawn records showed that Rouse had pawned the trailer. Investigators from the LCSO and Arkansas State Police tracked down Rouse and questioned him about the trailer. Rouse admitted to taking the trailer and pawning it.
Rouse was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. Bond was set at $2500.00 and a Circuit Date of November 17th was issued to Rouse on the Afternoon of October 8th.
