On the eve of his 21st birthday Eric Woodson of Black Rock sat down face to face with the Boss Hog Sandwich from Pig-N-Out BBQ in Imboden.
When the huge platter was delivered to the table, Eric was speechless to say the least. With 12 minutes to go Eric “threw in the towel” according to Carrie Wilson and said “I think you added 5lbs to it.” Eric had lots of support with several family members on hand to cheer him on.
Carrie also informed us that a family member of Eric’s will attempt the challenge, next Saturday October 2nd at 5pm Noah Burnside of Walnut Ridge will attempt the Boss Hog Challenge.
Owners Keith and Carrie Wilson invite everyone to come by and witness the event. If you’ve never seen this huge meal, you should stop by next Saturday.
Local Resturant Is Getting National Attention
The Travel Channel has a show called “Man V. Food” that airs several times weekly, it’s host Adam Richman travels the country attempting to eat different food challenges. Sometimes he wins, sometimes he doesn’t but it makes for good TV either way.
Yesterday on the Travel Channel’s website a challenge was issued to Adam Richman by a website member to attempt to eat the “Boss Hog Challenge” at Pig-N-Out Bar-B-Que here in Imboden.
The posting of this on the Travel Channel site sent scores of readers to the Pig-N-Out articles featuring the “Boss Hog Challenge”. We spoke to Carrie today and informed her of this and as of tonight they have not heard from Adam Richman or the Travel Channel, but you never know. For more on this and other challenges you can visit www.travelchannel.com .
