The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deparment will hold a Rx take back day Saturday, September 25th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Individuals can drop off unwanted or expired prescription medication anonymously. This is a safe way to dispose of medication that has expired or is no longer being taken.
Failure to dispose of out of date prescription meds can lead to these prescriptions falling into the wrong hands and being abused or being taken when they are no longer effective. The drop off will acept all types of medication, including over-the-counter and no questions will be asked.
