Saturday September 11th Imboden resident Gene Ponder reported to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that a Go-Cart had been stolen from his property located on 3rd street in Imboden.
Mr. Ponder also contacted Deputy Rocky Chappell of the theft. Shortly after that Deputy Chappell received a phone call from a resident of the Verkler Apartments at the corner of Fairpark Drive and 4th Street of loud music and the odor of spray paint.
Deputies Rocky Chappell and Andrew Turner of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to the complaint and discovered a Go-Cart matching the description of Mr. Ponders being painted a different color.
Mr. Ponder was asked to identify the alleged stolen item, which he did. The two juveniles were charged in the theft and the property was returned to Mr. Ponder.
