Ravenden Police Chief Tim McComas Reports that on September 3rd a Sobriety Check Point was set up in Ravenden Arkansas on Hwy 63 by the Arkansas State Police and the Ravenden Police Department.

At approximately 10:45pm, Matthew J. Sullivan age 45 of Hardy Arkansas was stopped at the check point after he tried to go around officers, it was determined Mr. Sullivan was driving on a suspended drivers license.

Officers also noticed Mr. Sullivan had a loaded rifle beside him and he was removed from the truck which was towed and inventoried while Mr. Sullivan was placed under arrest.

During the inventory, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located in the truck. The drugs and paraphernalia were confiscated and the truck and gun were seized by the Ravenden Police Department.

Mr. Sullivan is currently in the custody of the Lawrence County Jail charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver (methamphetamine), Possession with intent to deliver (marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms and Driving on a Suspended Liscense.
