Tuesday night calls began to pour in to the Lawrence County Dispatch Center from concerned citizens about a man walking up and down Hwy. 63 yelling at traffic and disturbing residents.
Deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office began searching the area around S&H Quick Shop where the man was last seen. Witnesses told officers that the man had been picked up by a green Ford Ranger truck and was still screaming and yelling as he left in the vehicle.
After a quick search of Imboden deputies found the man outside of a residence in Imboden still screaming and arguing with family members. Deputies separated the parties and ask the man to comply and place his hands on the car several times. After refusing to follow the deputies orders, officers had no choice but to taser the man in order to take him into custody.
Once in custody he was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to be charged. No officers were hurt in the incident.
