At Monday’s monthly meeting of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department took it’s training one step farther. Chief Chris Jones, Assistant Chiefs Jim and Steve Jones put the IVFD through a live training exercise.
The IVFD is one of only a hand-full of departments in the area using the new 5″ line to supply water to their trucks. Imboden’s Engine 2 and Engine 6 are both equipped with 1000 feet of the large yellow service hose.
The exercise Monday night was a cross training of all members. The training is to ensure that each member is trained to operate each truck in the IVFD’s fleet.
Training is ongoing for the IVFD in an effort to better serve the citizens of Imboden and the IVFD’s fire district.
