On 07-30-10, Arkansas State Police Trooper Ben Rapert and Ravenden Police Chief Tim McComas stopped a maroon dodge truck on US Highway 63 in Ravenden, after a motorist stopped to report the vehicle throwing out cans and and driving bad. The officers spotted the truck at Dail’s Wrecker Service parking lot spinning sideways, and pulling onto US 63. After officers stopped the vehicle, the driver, identified as 48 year old Billy Don Johnson of Walnut Ridge, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving on a DWI Suspended License, No Seat Belt, and Careless Driving. While Trooper Rapert was dealing with the driver, Chief McComas spoke with the passenger, identified as 31 year old Ruby L. Felton of Imboden. McComas obtained permission to look in Felton’s purse, where he discovered several components to manufacture methamphetamine. Other components to manufacture meth were discovered in the truck. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. The Third Judicial Drug Task Force was called, and is assisting in the investigation.

Billy Don Johnson: DWI, Driving on a DWI Suspended DL, Careless Driving, No Seat Belt, and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
Ruby L. Felton: Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine and No Seat Belt.
