This year’s reading program is off to an excellent start! The theme for this year’s program is Make a Splash! The program goes from June 7th to July 19th, every Monday at 1:00-2:00, except July 5th. Librarians, Laura Hubler and Lisa Williams, have so many exciting things planned for this summer. Thirty-eight kids have signed up, and all are always super excited come Monday’s. Every year there are four prize buckets to give out at the end of the program. One for girls ages 4-7, boys ages 4-7, girls ages 8-12, and boys ages 8-12. This year there will be a special drawing called The Big Reader drawing! Any child in the program that reads at least fifty books will get their name entered in a bucket for the Big Reader prize. All kids have set a goal for themselves to see how many books they can read during the summer program, ranging anywhere from fifty to two hundred books.
