Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning residents of Imboden were awakened by the alarm at the Imboden Medical Pharmacy. The Lawrence County Dispatch Center recieved calls stating a subject was seen running from the pharmacy building back towards the mini storage buildings on the next block where the subject drove off in a white Ford pickup with “Portia Water Works” on the side.

The truck was reported to have been stolen from Portia by a subject who had left a Rehabilitation Service in Portia. The suspect was said to be from the Walnut Ridge area. The truck was last seen heading north bound in Imboden. Deputies searched the Imboden area with assistance from the Ravenden Police Department as well as Randolph County.

At approximately 1:10 a.m. an Arkansas State Police Officer spotted the truck headed south on Hwy 63 in Black Rock. The subject was stopped by the trooper at the BP Station in Black Rock were he was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail. The truck was returned to the Portia Water Works. The name of the subject is being withheld at this time pending charges.

Mr. Murphy, owner of Imboden Medical Pharmacy arrived to find his building had not been entered by the subject. There were marks on the back door of the business but no entry was made.
