If your schedule is already full of holiday parties and potluck dinners for the upcoming month of December you may be looking for some easy appetizers to whip up at the last minute.
Here are a few nice little tidbits that are great for that purpose or if you are entertaining friends. Enjoy!

Smoky Pigs in Blankets
2 tubes of canned biscuits
1 package of little smokies
Heat your oven to 375.
Cut each biscuit in half & wrap one little smoky into each half. Place on a large cookie sheet. Serve with spicy mustard.
Stick them in the oven until the biscuits are a light golden brown.
Variations on this include wrapping a small piece of cheese around each smoky before wrapping with your biscuit half. OR if your out of canned biscuits wrap each smoky bite with a half a strip of bacon. Stick in a toothpick to hold in place and bake until bacon is done on 350.

Cream cheese pears
1 large can of pear halves (drained)
1 package cream cheese (softened)
4 heaping tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
pecan halves
Whip together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk. Spoon a large teaspoon into the center of each pear half. Top with a pecan. Cover and chill before serving.

1 can of easy cheese (canned spray cheese)
You can also add crackers, pickles, olives arranged on a holiday tray for a nice appetizer dish.
