Buttermilk biscuits to melt in your mouth! You will need. 2 cups flour, 2 tsp. baking powder,2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking sode,  1/2 cup shortning, 1 cup of buttermilk. Sift dry ingredients together. Add shortning and blend well. Add buttermilk and then stir. Roll out thin on a floured surface. Use a large glass (flour the rim) or a biscuit cutter to cut out your biscuits. Bake in a greased pan at 450 degrees until golden brown. Delicious topped with butter, honey, your favorite jelly, molasses, or milk gravy. Enjoy!
