From the Izard County Sheriff’s Office:
We have reports today of people receiving phone calls with the caller identifying themselves as deputies/investigators with the Izard County Sheriff’s Office. The caller is telling people they have a warrant fo their arrest for missing jury duty and that they have a bondsman with and ask for the person to send money to to take care of the warrant. The number that showed up was 870-724-xxxx.
No employee from the Izard County Sheriff’s Office will ever call you saying they have a bondsman with them asking you to send money to take care of a warrant. This is another way that thiefs are trying to scam you out of your money. Be weary of anyone calling you asking for money or your personal information.
