The Jonesboro Police Department has placed an officer on administrative leave pending an internal investigation into a domestic disturbance that occurred this afternoon in Craighead County. The results will be made available upon the completion of our investigation.
The Jonesboro Police Department is not handling the criminal investigation.
Update: JPD has confirmed the officer placed on leave is Alexis Brianna Burns, age 27 of Bono.
Burns has been booked into the Craighead County Detention Center shortly before 4pm on third-degree domestic battering.
