One person was reportedly injured after two semi trucks collided in Ravenden shortly before midnight on Thursday.

At 11:55pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received reports of two semi trucks involved in an accident near the railroad tracks on Hwy 63 In Ravenden.

Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department, ProMed Ambulance, Medic One Ambulance, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, Arkansas State Police and Ravenden Police were all dispatched to the scene.

Responders arriving on scene reported that both drivers were out of the vehicles, one person was transported to a local hospital.

One of the drivers was transported to the Ravenden Police Department for a drug screening after suspected drugs were discovered in the vehicle by law enforcement.

Both trucks were reported to be hauling food products, the Arkansas Department Of Health was notified.

No names have been released.

Traffic was delayed on Hwy 63 for hours as the debris was removed from the roadway. ArDOT was requested to assist with clean up.

Traffic was reopened at 2:25 am.

The accident was investigated by the Ravenden Police Department.
