Two Randolph County residents were recently arrested and charged with cruelty to animals.

Micheal Whitted and Elizabeth Whitted were both charged with numerous counts of Cruelty To Animals.

The couple are accused of leaving dozens of cats and kittens to die after moving from a residence and leaving them behind with no food or water.

Arrest warrants were issued along with a cash reward for information leading to their arrest.

Both were arrested and booked into the Randolph County Detention Center.

The Randolph County Humane Society publicly thanked the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Pocahontas Police for their efforts.
