Today the Jonesboro Police Department released the following arrest information.

Another great job goes to the Internet Crimes Against Children Division (ICAC), Patrol, and the SWAT Team for the arrest of James Mansfield.

On August 30th, JPD officers responded to an area hospital regarding a juvenile victim who had been sexually assaulted. Once the evaluation was completed by medical personnel, the juvenile was transferred for a forensic examination and interview. During this interview, the child disclosed a caretaker had sexually assaulted her during a three-week timeframe. During that time, Mansfield engaged in sexual behavior with the child and alcohol and vape consumption.

Mansfield was taken into custody on August 31st and transported to CCDC. This morning, he appeared before a judge and received a $500,000 cash surety bond. Great job, team!
