Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell released the following about a pursuit and drug arrest in Randolph County this weekend.
“Saturday September 17th Deputy Pearson was on patrol on Highway 115 in Randolph County. Deputy Pearson attempted to stop this suspect, Andrew Opsahl on a motorcycle. Mr. Opsahl apparently didn’t want to be stopped, he decided to flee. He crashed shortly afterwards and was quickly apprehended by Deputy Pearson. After a search Deputy Pearson discovered approximately 1/4 pound of suspected methamphetamine in a backpack. “
Ipsahl was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Class B felony and set bond at $50,000.00
Sheriff Bell went on to say “This arrest makes over a pound of methamphetamine Deputy Kelcey Pearson has taken off the streets of Randolph County in the last few weeks. Great job Kelsey!! “
